Marcie Spahi
Marcie was introduced to yoga at age four. As she got older, she continued to be interested in yoga as she traveled and learned more about it. Marcie began the study of Yoga in earnest in 1994. Her enthusiasm led her to become a certified teacher in Ashtanga Yoga,(also known as Power Yoga), Universal Yoga, and Samadhi Yoga. She has studied various body movement modalities along with massage and dance. Her typical style of yoga class has a dance like component (Vinyasa style), as well as strong focus on breathing exercises and meditation. She continues to study and learn with her mentor teachers, Kathleen Hunt and Katarina Wen. Marcie can be reached at 206-300-4840.
Shawn Milligan

Shawn studied yoga since 1991, and received her teaching certificate from 8 Limbs Yoga. Bob Smith, Paul Grilley, and Orit Sen-Gupta have also influenced her practice and teaching style. She is currently studying Exercise Science and Nutrition through University of Washington.
Yoga continues to change the way she views exercise, and has dramatically increased her respect for the human body and all of its abilities. She enjoys seeing students transform into awe-inspiring teachers as they discover their own interpretations of the practice. Shawn can be reached at 206-310-5704.
Shawn and Marcie are members of Mercer Island Yoga Teacher Community, a diversely-trained network of outstanding local instructors. They are constantly learning from each other.
